Solutions Centre was founded by Insoo Kim Berg and Arnoud Huibers in 2004. It is an international organization that aims to disseminate the solution focused model through training and consultation. Solutions Centre also aims to disseminate the application of the solution focused model to schools, organizations, hospitals and many different settings where people work with each other.

Solutions Centre has set up a collaborative research project with the University of Utrecht, developing competency-based questionnaires for mental health practitioners and researchers.

The first tool, the CCI-P, a questionnaires for children 6-12 years old, is available.
The questionnaire can be scored online and the score-profile can be printed immediately after submitting the score.

The solution focused model has derived from the psychotherapy setting. It is a future-oriented, goal-directed approach to solving human problems of living. During the 1990’s the application of the model has been expanded out to schools, prisons, hospitals, residential treatment homes, nursing homes, businesses and wherever people work with each other.
